Yes, as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC-ACS) with the BCACC my services are covered by most insurance companies. Please reach out directly to your insurance provider and ask if they cover Registered Clinical Counsellors.

Expressive Arts Therapy is a psychotherapeutic modality that brings different art forms (intermodal practice) in a therapeutic setting. The art modalities ( writing, movement, dance, visual arts, singing and more) are offered in a way that encourages the engagement of the senses through a collaborative experience with the facilitator/ counsellor. Expressive Arts Therapy believes that we all have the capacity and innate knowing of creatively meet challenges. In a Expressive Arts Therapy session, we seek to bring out to light the importance of imagination and play as a way of accessing our inner resources towards wellbeing. Expressive Arts Therapy emphasizes the importance of “low skill- high sensitivity” which reminds facilitators and participants that no art experience is required when utilizing this modality.

Yes, I provide all the basic art materials for the individual and small scale ( 2 to 3 participant) group sessions. However, participants are welcome to bring their personal journals, sketchbooks and art making tools if preferred.
